Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards - Outstanding Director

The Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards return to Sudbury! Congratulations to Piotr Skowroński for receiving the Outstanding Director in the Short / Mid Length category for his work on Bang Bang. Directed and produced by Piotr Skowroński, with co-producers Zara Jestadt, Alino Giraldi, and Andrea Novoa, this recognition is well-deserved. Thank you to CION and the organizers of the NOMFA event for highlighting northern talent.

Best Indie Short at the Tokyo Indie Shorts Fest

Exciting news! Bang Bang wins Best Indie Short at the 2nd Tokyo Indie Shorts Fest. Featuring the talented Zara Jestadt and Alino Giraldi as the leads, the film delves into the passionate and torrid relationship between Rae and Felix. Directed and Produced by Piotr Skowroński, with Co-producers Zara Jestadt, Alino Giraldi, and Andrea Novoa. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on this achievement. 

These Lovers turns 10 yrs

In 2014, a group of dedicated filmmakers, artists, technicians and northern Ontario based media companies, lead by Imaginarium Studio set out to produce an independent feature film under the working title, Scenes from a Room.  The project was generously supported by the Ontario Arts Council, the city of Thunder Bay, countless supporters via crowd funding efforts and of course, the local community including individual, organizations and businesses in and around Thunder Bay, Ontario. Significant effort was placed on developing local capacity, training and providing opportunities in key positions for northern based filmmakers, and helping raise the level of production by investing in resources and building capacity.
